TJ Zino returns to Long Island to perform, spend time in the studio and lay back on the beaches of Long Beach, NY.  Raised on Long Island, TJ has traveled the country performing to millions of audiences and continues to do so this summer.

TJ plans to spend most of the summer on Long Island booking time in the studio working on his latest album, “Without Roots”.  With his last few years based out of New Orleans, LA, and traveling the Mid West, TJ has been influenced by many different styles of local music.  He hopes to be able to combine these into his album by adding his own twist to country music and expanding its boundaries.

I was able to get some time with TJ at a small beachside cafe and was interested in hearing about his latest work.  “It’s coming along nicely so far.  We’ve been working hard to get the sound and harmonies we are looking for.  We hope to get the album out as soon as possible and look forward to traveling and sharing our sounds with the people who help influence it.”  TJ plans to get some work done on this album but says it’s hard.  “It’s kinda hard to pull myself off the beach and go sit in a studio for hours on end.  It’s easy to get distracted on Long Island.”

TJ plans to visit friends and visit some of the old hangouts while on the island.  TJ is staying busy with a host of private gigs while in town, but does have some public events planned as well.  You can catch TJ performing in Manhattan, Long Beach and at one of his favorite places, Foxwoods Resort & Casino at the end of the month.  Yet, if you happen to be in Long Beach, you just might catch him on the boardwalk.  TJ hopes to chat and meet many new people while on the island and looks forward to sharing his music.
